Making new friends and creating new recipes with WORLDFOODS.

One of the things that I never expected when we began blogging was to make so many new friends. There are lots of UK bloggers who I would consider to be friends but to make friendships right across the globe was definitely something I never expected. It was really special to be asked by WORLDFOODS to be involved in an international recipe swap project.

I was paired up with a lovely blogger called Yen (aka Baby Sumo) who blogs at Goody Foodies. She's the featured blogger on Nuffgang this month and you can find out just why her nickname is Baby Sumo over there.

Yen will be guestposting a recipe right here on our blog next week featuring one of the delicious WORLDFOODS products and she'll be telling you a bit more about herself then.

And we've been experimenting with some of the WORLDFOODS flavours too. Our brief was to take a classic British dish and give it an international twist using WORLDFOODS. A real fusion of flavours! I've been testing various recipes like....

Toad in the Hole with WORLDFOODS Thai Yellow Curry batter and WORLDFOODS Thai Masaman sausages.

Cottage Pie with WORLDFOODS Thai Yellow Curry mash and WORLDFOODS Thai Masaman paste in the meat.

And a savoury twist on Pancakes - WORLDFOODS Thai Yellow Curry savoury pancakes with Chicken, gherkins, lettuce and walnuts.

To see which of these I decided to write a recipe guest post for, you'll have to pop over to Goody Foodies next week when all will be revealed!

  2. A really interesting use of the sauces.Do any of the sauces have nuts in them? I find it really difficult finding them without so I tend to stick to the same brand.

    1. the ones we tried out don't seem to have nuts in them. The labels on the pastes we tried also state they are suitable for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs.
