This week I feel so proud of J as I think it has been his best week yet at the holiday club at one of our local churches. He has been going for around 5 years now and with the amazing, experienced leaders they always do make it work for him, but it isn't always easy (either for them or for him). This year he doesn't seem to be as stressed and the week seems to have gone really smoothly. Given his difficulties caused by his Aspergers and sensory processing issues, regular readers will realise just what a breakthrough this is!
We were also recently picked as Center Parcs family bloggers after taking part in the tots100 Center Parcs challenges over the past months. This was really lovely news for us as we really enjoyed taking part in the challenges and always put in lots and lots of effort (although it still came as a huge surprise to be picked!). You can see the links to some of our challenges at the bottom of the post here.
Our first couple of competitions seem to have proved popular as I was so nervous about running competitions (I am usually always entering hundreds so it has been interesting to see it from the other side).
And I have realised just what wonderful friends I have - It has been lovely to see a few friends since the summer holidays began who we don't usually get to see during term time and it has reminded me how special and important those friendships are and how with truly wonderful friends weeks, months and sometimes years can go by and yet you can always pick up where you left off.
If you have some reasons to be cheerful this week, why not link up with mummy from the heart's R2BC linky.
congratulations on Center Parcs x
