In this action-packed game, you play as Sonic and have to travel through different levels collecting blueprints and crystal fragments. You have to collect all the parts of the shattered crystal to be able to rebuild it, and there are over 40 bits so there is lots of gameplay.
As you complete levels, some of Sonic's friends join him on the quest, and you can switch between characters to use their special abilities in different places.
Each level is quite long, so kept our boys quiet and happy for hours. Daddy wasn't as good as J and D, but they quickly picked up the controls and mastered the concepts of the game. With lots of extras like Sonic Badges, which help to unlock different places later in the game, there is loads to keep going back to.
J says, "it is epic. I like it because it is fun and exciting."
This is a must for any longstanding Sonic fans, but is also great for anyone not yet familiar with the funky blue hedgehog. J says he would love to have this for Christmas... even though he has it already! Praise indeed from a gaming fan.
Big man would love this! Trying to hold off the handhelds for as long as possible as I think he would become addicted x
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. We held off for quite a while when they were younger but then had a long journey coming up which is when they got the first DS to share. Then there was no stopping them and they love it! x
