A Garden Makeover With Debenhams

We've enjoyed a sunny Easter weekend. The kind of weekend that makes you feel that spring is finally here and makes you want to spend time in the garden.

But in our case, we'd rather spend time anywhere but in our garden. Our garden is plain and dull and dreary and we are desperate to inject a little colour and inspiration into it but just need something to get us kickstarted.

Well this could be it - Debenhams have a fabulous competition that has got us really thinking about how we'd like to bring the garden to life. You can find all the details here.

Here's a bit of background before I share my dreams of my perfect garden with you...

Four years ago we had a house extension completed. It gave us the space we were wishing for. Here's the kitchen which is just fantastic compared to my old kitchen which was tiny.
Shiny new kitchen - just need a shiny new garden to match
But the kitchen looks out onto this...

The builders left the garden a dangerous, unusable mess. We managed to get a patio laid and the grass re-turfed but everything that had been there previously was totally destroyed. So what we have is a blank canvas. A rather dull, boring blank canvas.

But instead of seeing it that way, I am determined that this will be the year that I will see it as an area full of potential waiting to be unlocked. And whilst we were 'safe' with the colour schemes for the kitchen, I'd love to go bolder and brighter for the garden.

So here's the dream inspired by Debenhams...

An injection of colour from the pink 'Iowa' seating around the White futura dining table - perfect for dinner parties.
More bright colour from this Turquoise 'piccolino' portable Barbeque. We love to head to the coast in the summer months for a barbeque so this is perfect for in the garden and on the go.
This Debenhams Brown hanging chair is the perfect place to relax in the summer evenings with a book for a bit of 'me time' to relax.
Some stylish picnic plates for outdoor dining...These 'butterfly' zig zag plates are perfect.
More things bright and beautiful - colourful napkin rings from butterfly.
A multi-coloured picnic hamper, the 'designer pink weave hamper' is fantastic for lunchtime picnics on the grass.
And these pink beaded flower coasters really have the wow factor for adding a bold splash of colour to the garden.

So hopefully you can see how these items from Debenhams would transform my dull and dreary garden into a beautiful space with splashes of all the colours of the rainbow.

This is my entry into Debenhams Easter blogger competition.
