Word of The Week: Change

My Word of the Week this week is: Change. It's actually been easier than usual to pick a word because there have been so many things that fall under the heading of change that have happened this week.

We made the decision a few weeks ago to change our GP doctors surgery, and it felt like a strangely huge step to take. This was the week it all went through and Miss T will get to meet her new doctor on Monday as it was important for her to have an appointment to get all her repeat medications set up for her JIA.

We've been at the same doctor's surgery for nearly 20 years (in Richard's case even longer) and so it does feel like a step into the unknown. But at the same time we sense it is the best thing to be doing for a whole host of reasons.

Miss T's bedroom got a tidy-up and revamp in terms of re-positioning her bed against the wall after she fell out of bed the other night. I'm planning to help J tidy his room today as it has got into a bigger and bigger mess lately.

At work we've relocated to a new site over this weekend so that will feel different going into a new workplace with a slight change in the focus of my role at the same time.

So as well as the change of season we've been witnessing in nature all around us, this week has definitely been a week of change at home too.

  1. Changing your GP is a big step, I hope it works out for you. I hope Miss T likes the new position of her bed and that you managed to tidy up J's room. That's something we really need to do, the girls bedroom is a proper mess, the Little Man's a bit better but still needs sorting. xx

  2. Hope the GP change goes ok. That was something I did once back in my 20's as I was very dissatisfied there. Was definitely a positive move, although didn't stay with the new practice long, as we moved away from the area the following year
