Meadow Ring Toss Review for The Toadstool

The Toadstool have sent us this fantastic Meadow Ring Toss set by Plan Toys to test out as a toadtester. We've seen such fantastic quality and durability from the Plan Toys range that we already have from The Toadstool that I almost feel that a one sentence review would be sufficient saying that "the Meadow Ring Toss is made by Plan Toys and is available from The Toadstool and is utterly brilliant just like all their other toys." But in case you need convincing just how fabulous this toy is, read on...

Made from sustainable rubberwood with water-based dyes and produced using Plan Toys sustainable production methods, The Toadstool have come up trumps once again with this colourful fun game that will appeal to all ages however young or old you are.

Having three children across a spread of ages (there is 7 years between J and Miss T), it can sometimes be a challenge finding toys and games that appeal to all three of them, and more importantly, that they will enjoy playing together. The Meadow Ring Toss fits the bill perfectly.

In addition it can also be used both indoors and outdoors, making it ideal to use all year round whatever the weather.

The toy consists of three wooden posts of varying heights and six rope loops with a different colour bead on each. The coloured beads correspond with colours marked on the base of the posts for those that want to play the more advanced game of trying to throw the matching colours onto the correct post.

For younger children, the game lends itself well for being played more simply by aiming for any of the posts. It is a similar concept to the game of quoits but has the bonus of being able to move and position the posts where you wish.

We did have a funny moment when Miss T picked up one of the posts and shook it saying 'bell' as she plays with colourful bells that look similar to these at our local children's centre.

In summary, this is a brilliant game for use both indoors and outdoors in the garden. It has true #SlowToy appeal being well made, durable, and long lasting. It is a lovely game that encourages children (and grown-ups!) of all ages to play together.
