Introducing Grainio - Our Plum Baby Mighty 4 Superhero!

This challenge is the final one of the Plum Baby challenges that have been running with Tots100. We knew we had to take part in the grand finale when we heard that there was the chance of being picked to become an official Plum Baby blogger family.

As we are HUGE fans of Plum baby products having used their various products throughout the early stages of weaning and now through to toddlerhood, we know Miss T adores the flavours and textures used in the Plum Baby ranges.
When Miss T was a baby, she loved Plum Baby foods for weaning
As parents, we love the nutrition aspect of the Plum Baby range and just how convenient the products are. We love using the pouches when out and about as they are so easy to use.

It now gets even better, because Plum Baby have introduced a new range of pouches based on 4 mighty food groups (grains, fruit, vegetables, and greek style yogurt). This range is called 'Mighty 4'. The Mighty 4 range makes a perfect healthy snack for toddlers aged between 1 and 3 - Perfect for 2 year old Miss T.

The challenge is to create a healthy superhero with healthy superpowers. Everyone knows that fruit and veg is healthy so we decided to focus on the food group that is so often overlooked but is so important and so healthy: Grains.

So we'd like to introduce you to Grainio our superhero. He's made from grains and pulses.
Introducing 'Grainio' - Our Mighty 4 Superhero
Just look at his strong healthy body made with lots of yummy quinoa. Quinoa is one of the grains included in the Mighty 4 range.

The kids had lots of fun making him. J drew an outline of a superhero.

Miss T got busy glueing on all the grains.

We added a big M and 4 onto his front to represent the words 'Mighty 4'. And we coloured in a bright red cape.

Now for the important bit - what exactly are Grainio's Healthy Superpowers?

  • He is superstrong!!! All that quinoa gives him lots of protein to help his muscles grow and stay strong. So he is great at rescuing anyone trapped under heavy objects.
  • He is super-brainy and clever. Again the quinoa is full of riboflavins which improves the energy metabolism between the brain and muscle cells.
  • He spins really fast so that he can combine lots of other healthy foods together for toddlers to eat.
  • He can build the tallest brick towers for your toddler to knock down.

This is our entry into the Tots100/Plum Baby Mighty Moments Challenge. Find out more here
